You're what I imagine must have been the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden.
You are good in pies, and coffee cake, and as jam, but you are even better when flying solo. You're all I need in a mid-day snack, or for dessert after dinner.
I look forward to you all year round, and this year you did not disappoint (unlike the lame tomatoes)!

this reminds me of my "ode to grapefruit" post. i am so glad to know you are as obsessed with fruit as i am! peaches are definitely worthy of a blog post, but i must say i am an even bigger fan of nectarines. especially when they are perfectly ripe and cold. i suppose they are like peaches better, hairless cousin. in fact, i ate a nectarine today and was delighted!

amen amen amen. That's all I can say. And where in the world is the farmers market or stand in Dallas? Wo is me. The grocery store peaches do not even begin to satisfy my autumn needs.
