No, I'm not opening up an etsy shop called Blissful Moments. That would be awesome though, wouldn't it? But lately I've had small little moments where I think, "I am just so happy right now." And they're always little things, but they make me so excited. Here are a few:
Last Thursday night I was driving to my parents' house, Cafe Rio in tow, to meet Chris after work and watch The Office with my brothers. I was driving in my dad's car, which is wonderful to drive, and watching the pretty sunset. It was a cloudless sunset, one with subtle gradiations of purple, blue, green, orange, and then pink. It was nice outside, I had the windows down, and on the radio was playing that song, "Show Me What I'm Looking For." I like that song. And as I drove, I thought, "Man, my life is awesome."
Another moment like this came a few Saturdays ago. We slept a little late, and the sun was shining in our windows just right, making it nice and warm and cozy. Chris decided to make breakfast, and as I watched him grate potatoes that became hash browns and tend the bacon, I was just so excited about what the rest of the day could possibly bring. I knew it had to be good when it started out with sitting in a chair talking to your husband while he makes breakfast.
A couple of weeks ago I took my lunch break. I am carless at lunch, so I'm limited to the building I work in. This particular day something amazing had happened, and I won't go into all the details because they don't matter, but everyone in our office had gotten free lunch from Brick Oven. There were 3 salads or a turkey sandwich to choose from. The turkey sandwich was in a box. I chose the turkey sandwich in a box. I went out on the back stairs and sat in the shade to eat my boxed turkey sandwich, and when I opened it, I discovered to my delight that not only did the box contain a turkey sandwich but chips and a cookie as well. So I sat there and read Betsy-Tacy and had a beautiful lunch.
I can't think of any more specifics just now, but I've just been so enthralled with my life lately. It's so simple but so good. I live in such a beautiful place, I love being able to see the mountains all the time. I live with such a beautiful Chris. I work with wonderful, smart, kind people. My family is as fun and awesome as ever. My friends are fun and interesting and funny, and I love them. And I just like what I've got going on lately.

those do sound like blissful moments...
and doesn't free food just make any day a whole lot better??
I love moments like that! Life is so good.
I love your beautiful Chris too. Why I always makes comments about Chris I will never know. Plus, whenever I write Chris I ALWAYS write Christ first and then I have to erase the t.
That does sound great though. I love driving with the windows down while listening to good songs. That is probably one of my favorite things to do.
Erin, I think we were sisters in another life. Betsy-Tacy books are my absolute favorite. I have the whole series! Long story short...I read them over and over growing up and my mom just gifted them back to me for my birthday. Best gift I've ever gotten!
I know that feeling. I just talked about it on my blog! We're pretty cool. And I'm getting to be friends with Bren, whom I understand you know WELL!!! It's always a good recommendation, when someone I meet knows Erin!
