Easter Egg Contest

So, if there's one thing Chris and I love, it's being competitive with each other about really awesome stuff.

Like whose Easter eggs are the prettiest.

So, if you wouldn't mind, please look at these pics and decide which ones you like best, and then vote for them over yonder ------------------------------------------------>

Thanks pals. You have until midnight on April 22nd to vote. If you blog about it you can vote twice, and if you tweet about it you get 5 extra votes.*

*That's not a real thing. I just wanted to make fun of people who do giveaways on their blogs and trick you into doing free advertising for them at the same time. You only get one vote. Honor system. Let's have some integrity, ok guys?

#1-Dotty style

#2--Two tone style

#3--Charlie Brown

#4-Golden Goose

#5-Dinosaur Egg

#6-Emerald City

#7-Ombre

On a somewhat unrelated note, taking pictures of these was fun and also crazy, because sometimes flash or no flash was such a huge difference.

Per esempio:

 Flash

No flash. I went with the flashed one for the purposes of this contest because it looks closer to the real thing, as is the case with all the contest eggs. We need to be as fair as possible in such a serious undertaking.

No flash. It looks so much like a planet, am I right?

Yes flash. Still looks like a planet, and also a
dinosaur egg. Which is why I named it that, duh.

So there you have it! Easter eggs. I bought these pink trays a couple of years ago at the dollar store, and I never regret it. They're so cute. And they get used once a year.

Because this is so serious, I need more detailed information before I vote. 1) Is the golden goose egg the actual size of a goose egg? 2) Is there really a dinosaur in the dinosaur egg? 3) Did the emerald city egg actually come from the Land of Oz? 4) Has Charlie Brown ever seen the egg that was inspired by him? If yes, how does he feel about it?

I am stuck between voting for 3 so this will really help my decision-making process.

word ver: waffe. Like waffle without the l. Question: Is there a waffle egg?

Shelly, it was obvious that I should have addressed those issues, and I ask you to forgive my errant ways.

1) Obviously. Also, I didn't dye it, it's ACTUALLY from a golden goose. So it probably shouldn't even be in this contest.

2) Yes. He is very small and just runs around in the palm of your hand.

3) Dude, don't be silly. We dyed it in our kitchen with a Paas glitter set we bought at Macey's for $2.49. What a ridiculous question.

4) Yes, and he was sad. He hung his head and wandered around to the "Christmas Time is Here" music.

5) There is no waffle egg. But if there was one I would eat it and love it.

I blogged about it and tweeted it...

Now I'm making fun of the people that actually enter those contests.

The Charlie Brown one is obviously the best. I think dino egg is only winning because people are liking the name.

But two tone is pretty too.

Char, I know. I really shouldn't have named them, it's skewing the results. I just wanted to make it more fun. But Chris was like, what have you done? Now we will never know the truth!
