When you are eating microwaved edamame, it will eventually get cold. You will be tempted to just stick the bowl full of soybeans back into the microwave to warm them back up, because, you know, they taste better warm. Resist that urge. The only thing you will get is a burnt smell and some shriveled up pods. The soybeans still taste pretty good, but it is not a replica of the initial microwaving experience. Take my word for it.
In the song Bad Romance, near the end, when Gaga sings in French, and then immediately follows it with, "I don't wanna be friends," I always wish that she was saying, "I don't wanna be French." Because that would be way cool. Also, the video is nuts. Which is strange, because most everything to do with Lady Gaga is totally not based on trying to shock people.
I like to listen to my body, because I believe it knows what is best for me. And right now it is telling me, "I think you ate too many pistachios. However, if there were more available I would not object to that. Also you should feed me more cookies." I'm not making this stuff up, guys. It's what my body needs.
I think one of life's cruelest ironies is that all women want men to be thoughtful, and men don't think about being thoughtful, nor do they care if women are thoughtful. But women think if they do thoughtful things for men, that they will reciprocate, when really they don't get that hint. (PS I'm not making some veiled reference to a specific situation in my own marriage. Like those Facebook statuses--"Erin is doing fine, I guess." or "Erin is really sad right now : (" so that everyone will ask what's wrong. It's just a truth, and I'm stating it.)
Also, typing out "thoughtful" so many times made me think of Emma. When they're at the Christmas party and Mr. Elton keeps bugging her while she's trying to listen to Mr. Weston's story about Frank's letter, and he asks if there's anything to do for her father's comfort, and she says no, but thank you, you are very thoughtful, and then he says so earnestly, "No. Thank you for thinking I am thoughtful." If you want to watch it, here you go. It's from like 5:15 to 6:00 that I'm speaking of. Oh, that movie is good.
Kate Middleton is really beautiful. Good for William. Also, check these out. I'll be using those as stocking stuffers for sure.
Can we just send Brian David Mitchell either to the chair or solitary confinement for the rest of his life already? For the love. I can't believe how long this how legal thing takes. Is there really any question that he will EVER walk free again? I'm thinking not. I say we pull aside the judge and say, "Listen, dude. The jury is not going to come out and say not guilty. So instead of you deciding whether to sentence him to 50 years or 500 or whatever, just send him to prison until he dies, and let this poor girl go back to her mission, mm kay?"
Don't be jealous, but me and Char made the raddest wreaths. I will take pictures so you believe me. And you probably will be jealous. Especially of Char's, I have to say. I'm a little jealous of hers because I think it's cooler than mine. But you know, not everyone can have a sister like Char who is a bad-a wreathist, and buys all the stuff for you and then doesn't even mind that you haven't paid her back. Except maybe she sort of minds, because she is holding my skirt and cardigan ransom. So . . . never mind. Char sort of sucks.
Wreathist is totally a real word. One who makes wreaths.
