In between sessions tradition

So I wrote this like a month ago. And now I'm posting it. So that's the story.

My entire growing up life, my family went for a drive in the mountains sometime during Conference weekend. Usually we went in between the morning and afternoon session, then drove back home and listened to the afternoon session on the radio as we drove.

Conference weekend is so great. I wish we had it quarterly instead of semi-annually. I love hearing from the Apostles and other General Authorities, I love staying home for Church, I love it all.

On Conference Sunday, Chris and I went on a mountain drive in between sessions. We drove up Hobble Creek--which is AFLAME with leaves--and went to the park where we got engaged. It was so great. We actually hadn't been back since, and it was nearly 3 years ago. We took some sandwiches and fruit snacks and just had a nice little walk.

And of course took some pictures. Here they are.

Eating fruit snacks.

New haircut.

The spot (ish) where Chris was all like, do you want to marry me? and I was all like, um . . . . .yes!

Chris is sort of like a child in that it takes a few shots to get him to make a normal smiling face for the camera.

GOT to get some leaf throwing shots.

Also, we made cinnamon rolls. New tradition, bam! That's the cool thing about still being newly married. Also, that morning Chris was making breakfast, and I was getting the dough started so it could rise and all that jazz, and I asked him to save 2 eggs for me for the dough and scramble the rest. So he set 2 eggs on the counter. Then a while later, while I was kneading the dough on the table, Chris was like, "Um, Erin, did you use different eggs? Because the ones I set out are still there." Awesome. And at that point it's not like we could add them, so we decided to see what would happen, and guess what? DELICIOUSNESS. They were totally fine. Nay, they were totally wonderful. Chris said we should call them menopause cinnamon rolls and I said don't be gross. But really I think it's funny, because duh, it is.

Why have I never seen that cute blue top? I like it. Hobble Creek was amazing that day.
