Some fall stuff

If you've never heard the song September Grass, do yourself a favor. Click here and listen to it. I like to save this glorious tune for the first day of September, then be sure I listen to it several times throughout the month, preferably while driving in the mountains.

I love Fall so much. Isn't that weird? It doesn't seem like anyone loves Fall, or gets excited to wear boots and for the weather to cool down, or to watch football, or carve pumpkins. But I just like what I like, ok? [clarification: sarcasm. I'm not good at internet sarcasm, because inevitably people who know me really well are like, what? So I'm like, oh no, what about the people who don't know me that well? I really do know that EVERYONE loves Fall.]

But really, I love it. October is my favorite month. I read somewhere by someone the other day that to them there are 2 seasons: Fall and waiting for Fall to come again. I feel you, bro. Or probably sis, actually. That doesn't sound like something a man would say.

The point is, I've been Falling with all sorts of peeps this season. Oh, do you want to see? (I originally wrote this as a whole big long post about each Fall excursion, but I've since decided to split them up. That way I can essentially write one blog post, but schedule them for like 4 different days. BA BOOM. So you can find more Fall trips here later.)

This is my romantic trip to Squaw Peak with my mother in law, Linda. (Chris stayed home, something about school and having homework? I don't really remember.)

Oh, well, I'm getting ahead of myself. FIRST we went to Paradise Bakery in American Fork to visit my sister in law, Angela, at work. Isn't she so adorable? Also, you should go to Paradise Bakery in American Fork and visit my sister in law, Angela at work. It is delicious. (But don't get the cream cheese brownie. Or do, and NEVER look up the nutrition info.) (I don't want to discourage you from visiting that fine establishment, however. It truly was delicious and wonderful and I've been wanting to go back.)

As we drove home, I was gazing at the mountains and expressing my intent to drive up the canyon at that very moment. Chris informed me of his party pooper status, which he likes to call "studying," but Linda said she was game, so to the mountain we headed.

Ahhh. Squaw Peak. We didn't make out though, don't worry.

Aren't those so cute? Her shirt looked so perfect with the leaves, and the sun was just right. Even with my camera, which is kind of a piece, these look so beautiful.

And I'm realizing now that I should have like, taken some of our faces, but I didn't even think of it. I just wanted some of Linda enjoying the leaves in her pink shirt.

I'm glad that you and Linda didn't make out. That would be awkward for everyone.

The fall picks look great. Angela and Chris have the same mouth. Just sayin'.

I like fall. And I don't think it's abnormal to life fall. I feel like lots of people are into it.
