For the love (updated with an apology to the weather)

So . . . when is it going to be Spring again?

I like rain, and I like cloudy, and I like April showers. I do. Because I have an adorable umbrella and rain boots. Plus I like green mountains and brooding skies and all that jazz.

HOWEVER.

I cannot handle much more of this 20 something degrees and snowy in the mornings business.

I cannot. (And let's be honest, the fact that my family is chilling on a little island called Oahu this week while I am actually chilling is making this harder to bear. My life is so difficult.)

I have dresses and skirts that are begging to be worn without tights. How can I appease them in this sort of climate?

Oh, and . . . did I mention that we will be remaining in this climate for the next few years?

After all my thoughts and planning had been directed toward a cross-country move, Chris found out he's been accepted to the University of Southern Nevada, which is in South Jordan, Utah. Yes, they have another campus, and no, it's not fake, like University of Phoenix.

This school is only 3 years instead of 4, like all the others, and in Utah I have a full time job. I don't have one of those anywhere else. So, we will still be Utahns.

And honestly, I have mixed feelings about it. I'm thrilled he got into his number one choice of school, and I'm thrilled that the financial burden will be lessened by my income, but I was really getting excited for a big adventure. We'll just have to find other ways to have a big adventure now! The point is--I'm cold and Chris will be a pharmacist in not 4, but 3 YEARS. Crazy and exciting.

Oh, and if anyone is wondering, we are planning on moving somewhere. You all know I adore Provo with everything in my cold, pale body (Edward? No. Remember how it's cold outside? And how I am queen of the pale faces? Stupid Twilight). But I want to do something NEW and DIFFERENT and EXCITING. In CAPITAL LETTERS.

So, since the school is 30 minutes away, we really can't get too crazy, but we can move to a different city. So if anyone knows of anything awesome in Pleasant Grove, or Lehi, or South Jordan, let me know. I would like to live in between Provo and South Jordan, so we both have a commute, so PG or Lehi-ish is sounding pretty good.

So yeah. There you have it.

(Update: Never mind, I rescind my complaint! It was beautiful yesterday when I left work. It was freezing in the morning again today, but yesterday afternoon was wonderful. Sorry, weather. I won't complain anymore.)

I really really loved our condo but it was a little not cheap. You could probably find a really cute old house around the pharmacy where Chris works in PG.

Pleasant Grove is a fabulous place to live. You could probably find a place close-ish to the freeway to make Chris's commute easier. Lehi is always full of traffic, but maybe you could also go for something just north of Point of the Mountain? The area of PG I live in is nice - lots of places being rented in a good area. Maybe AF would be nice, too - I haven't explored there enough to really know.

Well, Tay, if you see anything good, let me know.

And Nickell, I actually looked at Green Grove, and that is sounding like a pretty good option. It's so close to the freeway and State Street, if you take that way. It's a little too close to Weinerschnitzel though, if you know what I'm sayin. Not that I'm tempted by that in the least, but Chris is another story. . .

I liked the weather today. But like you, I am interested in having it actually be spring during the spring time.

Well I am in Lehi, and I think I'm pretty awesome.

:) Lehi is a good city to live.
We're only 5 minutes away from i-15 and after the East-West Connector is finished this year it will be less than that. American Fork/Lehi has nearly everything store-wise that Provo does which is nice because I hate driving far away to shop for stuff.

If you ever start thinking about house-buying I have an awesome Realtor to refer you to.

yayayayayay you will stay. but booo on the weather. I haven't left the house in almost 4 weeks but I still hate that it is cold out there. How exciting for you and Chris, and one year less is the BEST. love ya

your family is on oahu?? ohhhh how i wish i could be with them! and you would be there too of course, because it might be awkward if i was just chilling with your fam. but then again, maybe not really? because your mom likes to hang with your peeps. that i know.

i liked this update post. and i am sure there are adventures to be had in any part of the country or world! and i hope the weather keeps behaving for you.

WOW! HOORAY! It's fun to be away, but sometimes I think Lehi would have been far enough. I'm excited for you! And it's totally worth the one year less. Go live by the draper temple...that's a pretty nice area......heheheh.
