Someday

When I have a baby, and that baby has a room, I really want this to be in it. REAL BAD.
(Chris's contribution to this post: They are certainly playing off the Magritte painting, but really, that isn't a turtle. It's a tortoise. Because turtles are aquatic, and this guy is standing on solid earth.)
So yeah, we really will have nerdy kids. Whether they're getting excited over Surrealism or pushing their glasses up their nose while saying with their nasally voices, "Actually, that is a TORTOISE," they'll be nerdy.
I found the poster here.

Actually, to show my geek side, "tortoise" and "turtle" are both the same word in french - "la tortue" - so the phrase should read "Ceci n'est pas une tortue" which would be incorrect because it is a "tortue." So it works in english but not in french.....I still really like the poster though! :)

Rob, it's just supposed to be Surrealism, not a French lesson! But thank you for enlightening me. I will inform Chris.

well I tok lots of french classes in my day and still I looked at that and thought, "I don't get it." And James walked past and said, "that's not a turtle that's a tortoise." I didn't know there was a difference. so he explained to me, and then said, "Why does she want to hang this in her kids room?"

haha. We're just not smart enough to get these sorts of things I guess. I get why it would be cute in a kids room, and james get's the poster...but neither of us got both.
