Today as I walked through campus in the slushy wonderful snow, I spotted two peeps, a boy and a girl, walking together. From the looks of them, they probably belong to the Pen and the Sword club here at BYU.
And I couldn't help but wonder--do those long capes really keep them warm? Or is it just a cry for attention and a longing to be different? I just can't believe they are effectively keeping out the winter chill. Perhaps the celtic pin that fastens it holds some sort of magical warming powers I'm not aware of.

I love nerdlings. (my pet name for such people) My favorite is in the summer time when you drive pass the park on 500 W going towards Orem and they are out there play fighting with swords and costumes. I have a fantasy where I show up blasting the Darth Vador Theme Song and challenge them to a duel with my light sabor. (sigh) If only.
hey I was wearing such a cape today.
no. I really wasn't. I'm all about the layers. I like multiple shirts, a hoodie, and a jacket or coat. I don't know why but I love the look of a hood coming out of the jacket. hahah. what a funny thing to care about.
i'm so interested in this, though Erin. You should probably research it more, or even ask the next peeps you see who do that their reasoning. I would like to hear what they have to say for themselves.
Where have I been? I've missed several of your posts. Okay . . .
1) Your Christmas tree if fabulous
2) You're awesome for even trying to make pasta. It's hard enough for me to cook them in boiling water
3) Happy Birthday!
Hope you're enjoy the season!
Ionce had a fur coat that many may have thought was just for attention, and in part it was, but it was incredibly warm as well. Fashion and comfort. In their case, magic and comfort.
