my pretty pretty wedding

I've been married for over 6 months now. What? Crazy. Anyway, here are pictures from my wedding. There are probably more than any of you care to see, but guess what? I liked it and want to show you. So here they are:

All the friends! I loved having all these people there because I love all of these people so much! Seriously, it made it so wonderful for me.

It was unbelievably cold that day. We would have to hold our breath for the pictures so you couldn't see it.

I told everyone to be excited while we kissed, and they did what I said because I was the bride.

My mom was the cute little assistant. She carried around her camera and took her own pics, and held my bouquet for the bouquet-less shots. Plus she had cute red gloves.

My favorite thing about this one is that you can see the B.Y. Academy on the building. And my dress.

I loved my shoes, so I love this picture. If you look close you can see my fishnet tights, and I like that too. Chris has hairy legs. Cutie.

Our families are awesome.

So one of my most hated things is when people with blogs go on about how cute their husbands are, so I've tried not to do that. But let's be honest--are you kidding me? He is SO cute.

Incidentally, my little brothers are also very cute.

So the two above I had to include because I put so much into them. First of all, planning this shindig was like my job. I'm very particular, so I chose every detail of everything. However, the only parts of that I actually did were the signs for the food and the favors. The signs look so much better in the pictures than I thought they really did, which I'm glad for. And the favors. My goodness. I folded all the boxes, we cut out tiny pieces of tissue paper to put inside, filled them with personalized m&ms or a truffle, tied the twine around it, and tied the tag on. To make the tag, I had my friend's mom do the calligraphy, which I then had made into a rubber stamp, which we stamped onto the tags that my mom and I made with the die-cut machine at the scrapbooking store. They took FOREVER, and I love them a ton. So that's the story.

This is a really good shot of what the place looked like. The branches have a good story too. So I wanted to stand in front of something to sort of set the line apart from the rest of the reception, but I really hate arches and stuff like that. One day my mom and I were driving and saw some peeps cutting down trees. I said, "Hey, we should go get those for the reception," but I was joking. Then my mom and I were both silent. Then we both said, "Yeah, we really should." So we got my brother's truck and loaded it with branches. They sat in our backyard for a few weeks, then we put them in those awesome tall vases for the reception.

I heard the hot chocolate bar was really good, I never got any. But it's okay, because this picture of it is way cool.

My parents are cute and in love.

I love these next two because it was so fun to run out with everyone there and then drive off! Everyone has bubbles and candles, which I thought was so cute. The candles were the idea of our amazing amazing florist Wendy, who everyone must use for their wedding because she is SO much more than the florist. She's incredible and when the wedding was over I was sad I didn't get to hang out with her anymore.

So there you have it. I got married and it was awesome.
