Three thoughts

uno. Why do people be rude? This morning my kind mother drove me to work at BYU's museum of art. (My little brothers slept over last night, which was awesome, we played Super Nintendo and watched The Office, so she was coming to pick them up and took me to work too.)

We pulled into the parking lot, which has a little booth you have to stop at because it's a Visitor lot. The guy at the booth was talking to the car in front of us, so we waited. And waited some more. And waited for about FIVE minutes, before my mom couldn't stand it anymore and rolled down her window and said, "Come on!" It was clear that the conversation they were having was not related to parking, they were just chatting. He looked up all snotty and said, "Just a second!" He sounded like a bratty kid being mean to his mom. (But he was being mean to MY mom, which made me hate him.)

After this, they continued to talk for a few more minutes before the car drove away. Finally we pulled up, and my mom never even stopped because she was irritated, and said, "We're just dropping her off." as we pulled away, that chubby irritating booth man yelled, "RELAX!"

Man I hated that guy. Would it kill you to not be a jerk?

Oh, and about an hour later I got a phone call from my mom apologizing to me for being impatient with him. Is she cool or what?

dos. Batman was freaking awesome. I loved it. I keep thinking about it. Christian Bale? Awesome Batman, and handsome as ever. Heath Ledger? Incredible. Somehow I was simultaneously terrified and amused by the Joker. I suppose that's the point, but he did such a good job. He was so creepy, and I think a lot of it is because he's gone now. Knowing that had a different feel for the Joker. That's all there is to say, really. And I love Michael Caine too. It was all fabulous, I thought.

It was awesome. Go see it.

tres. I feel as if the weather is playing with me. I love the rain. And most especially in the summer. Why doesn't it rain? It keeps threatening to, with the dark clouds, but never does. The other night I saw lightning and heard thunder (while watching Sixth Sense, which made it scary and fun), and I got excited for a storm and ran outside, and it was hardly raining at all.

What is the deal? I've got my rainboots all ready!

1. Those visitor's booth Nazi's will be the death of me. Every time I've ever had any interaction with them it was bad news. You're mom's so awesome.
2. I still haven't seen Batman. My boyfriend doesn't like Batman, so I'll probably go see it by myself or with some girlies.
3. 100% agreed with your comments about the tricksy rain. Just do it already!

oh erin! your comment on my "memory post" gave me THE biggest smile! i loved reading it and reminiscing about all of our incredible memories together. as much as i love hawaii, i must say i never did make a group of friends quite like the 6 chicks. i really miss it.

our adventures with holly were classic! and writing on TW's leg...i was trying to remember what i wrote, but to no avail. all i know was it was indeed scandalous. sorry for corrupting you and introducing "naughty" words into your vocabulary. but isn't life so much more complete with the word "jacked" to describe your feelings? i think so.

ahhhh our first bonding at jack johnson. i still think you are the coolest girl ever for inviting me, someone you barely even knew, to a concert because you knew i loved him.

i love you erin!

dos. Amen. I wrote blogged about the amazingness of the Joker, you should read it now that you've seen it :) I can almost not express how phenomenal he is
tres. I have been anticipating the rain too! I usually dont like rain, but summer rain is the best. Finally tonight when I was walking home from the library at 11:55pm it started pouring, but it only lasted for about a minute then it stopped. Lame. Lets hope for some more.

there was supposed to be a slash between "wrote" and "blogged" - I hate it when that happens.

BYU parking...I never have paid one bit of attention to them. I just drive past, I park where I want, whether I am student, faculty, visitor or not. For some reason I think I'm higher then their parking laws. And I've never gotten a ticket, either. Which also means that they probably know that I'm higher then their parking laws as well.

Batman = sad story. James and I never go on dates without Grace...until last week. We got a lovely surprise in the mail from our dentist (they had mis-billed us MANY times, so this was their apology) We got A giftcard to Chili's and 2 cinemark movie tickets!!!! SWEET! So we planned a date for last tuesday to go out to eat and to see THE DARK KNIGHT!! When we got to the window to purchase the tickets, they said we could only use those tickets for matinee's or else not a new release. Lame.

So I have yet to see the Batman. And James and I already used our babysitter, so it will be awhile before we attempt to go and see it again. I don't think Grace should see that movie.
